Supplier-ready order quantity
12 units
Complete packs: 1 · Units above shortage: 5 units
The calculation applies MOQ first, then rounds up to a complete case pack. Also review budget, incoming stock and supplier terms.
Why is the shortage not always the order quantity?
First meet the supplier MOQ, then round up to a complete case pack. A shortage of 7 units with MOQ 6 and a 12-unit pack becomes 12; with MOQ 18 it becomes 24.
Order quantity = round max(shortage, MOQ) up to a complete case pack

One calculator is a start. A purchase plan needs the full picture.
The BuyPlan demo combines stock, demand, incoming orders, lead time, MOQ, case packs and budget, then ranks items by urgency.
